Shortly after posting, Porter was flooded with written accounts by various Twitter users who claimed to have had less than savory interactions with Ellen - who he labeled as "notoriously one of the meanest people alive" - over the years.

TV writer Benjamin Siemon made a decision to provide the thread with some stories of his own, that included DeGeneres having an irrationally "sensitive nose" and often picking "someone different to really hate" each day on set.
It was revealed that DeGeneres would send her staff home if they "smelled" or hadn't chewed gum before talking to her.
Siemon also added: "A new staff member was told every day she picks someone different to really hate". They didn't believe it but it ended up being entirely true'. "I just got finished with a conference call".
Another user said her sister who worked for Ellen for two seasons and would say hello to her but never got a response.

There were more than 1000 replies to Porter's tweet with a people detailing their not-so-nice experiences with Ellen.
Daily Mail has reached out to DeGeneres' reps for comment. She said Portia was with her & seemed embarrassed & tried to calm her down.
