Over the last couple of weeks, iPhone 2020 has been a part of numerous discussions. Coming back to the report details, it talks about a future where smartphone vendors like Apple and Samsung will include their wireless earbuds with upcoming models.
"TWS" or "truly wireless" earbuds of course include Apple's AirPods, but also competing earphones like Samsung's Galaxy Buds, and it's easy to see how rival Samsung might try to get a leg up on Apple by including those, which are otherwise considerably less popular than AirPods.
If there is some truth to these rumors, it could be that Apple is thinking about bundling in the AirPods in the iPhone 12 box contents to maintain its dominance in the market and prevent users from migrating to other alternatives.
While this news has floated ahead of iPhone launches for a few years, Apple has continued to offer its wired EarPods in the box and has sold its AirPods separately.
We recommend taking this article with a pinch of salt. Apple AirPods, on the other hand, retails for $159 making it highly unlikely to come with devices for free. Well, the speakers get less space and that's the reason, the AirPods actually sound better than most wireless earbuds.
Apple fans who want all of that and the latest capabilities should go for the new $234.99 Pro version (orig. $249), which dropped earlier this fall. On the contrary, the brand might just decide to bundle the AirPods only with the top-end variant. Of course, we will have to wait next year to find out if all this will happen.
Here's our expert advice: Take a new phone off your wishlist, take advantage of Cyber Monday prices and buy it for yourself, and add something else to your list that you don't mind waiting for.
