Describing the chef and cookbook author as being "high-functioning" during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Wednesday, Amy explained they chose to share his story as a means of encouraging others to seek help.
The two had headed off after the show in a black SUV, but once clearing the fans outside NBC Studios, jumped out of the vehicle and onto public transport.
Amy Schumer is opening up about her pregnancy. "I didn't know that pregnancies could be such a bummer", she admitted.
Luckily, her ride home went more smoothly. She's suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, which causes extreme nausea.
'Your wife told me that prenatal yoga helped with birth so I immediately signed up for a C-section.
In upcoming Netflix special "Amy Schumer: Growing", the 37-year-old star talks about her personal life, including her marriage to Fischer, reported EOnline. "I don't want to make it sound like, 'I'm so nice that I married someone with autism, '" she joked.
"We both wanted to talk about it because it's been totally positive", Schumer, who is pregnant with her first child with Fischer, told Meyers. "I think a lot of people resist getting diagnosed... because of the stigma that comes along with it".
Schumer, who's expecting her first child with Fischer, also spoke about her pregnancy.
She said: 'I just wanted to encourage people to not be afraid of that stigma.
And Amy hopes her special will inspire others do the same!
"I knew from the beginning that my husband's brain was a little different than mine".
"I fell in love with him I wouldn't trade him in for anybody".
"My husband was diagnosed with what used to be called Asperger's", she added.
