Atlanta defensive back K.J. Wallace has committed to Notre Dame, he announced on Sunday.
Notre Dame had a double-digit lead eight minutes into the game and didn't let up en route to a 100-69 victory over the Seminoles.
The Irish (20-2, 8-1) stymied the Seminoles (18-3, 6-2), who entered the contest leading the Atlantic Coast Conference with an average of 86 points per game.
"It was a great game for us from start to finish", Notre Dame coach Muffet McGraw said.
Notre Dame (20-5-1, 14-2-0) got a pair of power play goals from Jordan Gross in the first and Jake Evans in the second and never relinquished the lead. "We shot the ball well and were able to go inside". "Hopefully we can find our specialty teams because that ultimately we're minus three on specialty teams tonight, that ultimately was the difference in the game". Rex Pflueger and John Mooney gave Notre Dame 15 points apiece on 10-21 accuracy with Mooney hauling in eleven rebounds while Martinas Geben added ten points and nine boards on 4-10. "We were really focused in this game on setting the tone", said Westbeld, who had her second double-double of the season and sixth of her career. Notre Dame responded with a 15-3 run to trim it to a one-possession game at the 6:53 mark.
The Irish scored the first six points of the second period to move out to a 35-14 lead.
Kristina Nelson sparked Notre Dame's offense in the third period, when the Irish went on an 11-3 run, with five of those points coming from the graduate student. Jessica Shepard and Marina Mabrey each tallied eight points in the fourth quarter.
For the second time this season, and first in conference play, the Irish hit the 100 point mark.
The Irish totaled 100 points against Florida State, the most points a Notre Dame team has scored against a top-10 opponent in program history.
