Sanchez, who has less than 12 months left on his deal at the Emirates, has been heavily linked with a move away from north London throughout the summer, with Bayern Munich, PSG and Manchester City all earmarked as possible destinations.
Wenger said Sanchez picked up an abdominal strain in training before Sunday's penalty shoot-out win over Chelsea and that he expected him to miss the trip to the Potteries to face Stoke as well as Friday's Premier League opener against Leicester.
"Alexis will not be available", he said when asked about team news ahead of the visit of the Foxes.
"He has a little abdominal strain he did on Sunday morning". He had a scan two days ago. I don't know [how long he will be out] - two weeks, one more week.
"We are not open to any offers anyway". However, Wenger said he believes they will turn elsewhere to bolster their attack.
Asked if Paris Saint-Germain had made an approach for Sanchez, Wenger replied: "No".
Sanchez also returned late from his vacation and has not played in any of Arsenal's preseason games as speculation about his future continues.
As it stands, Arsenal would reject any offer, meaning Sanchez would have to wait until the end of the season to move on a free.
"We are trying to extend the contract of Alexis but we are not there yet". "But all the other players prepared in preseason and are ready", Wenger said.
"I have plenty of uncertainties about the players who didn't play against Chelsea", said the boss. It can happen. If I included him, I wouldn't have started him on Friday.
