Plusieurs morts, dont un enfant, dans une fusillade en Californie — Etats-Unis

Cette fusillade survient après deux tueries récentes qui ont endeuillé les Etats-Unis et relancé le débat sur la prolifération des armes à feu dans le pays. Un homme a ouvert le feu dans un immeuble de bureaux dans la ville d'Orange, au sud de Los Angeles, selon la police. Ce dernier a été blessé par balle lors de l'intervention de la police, il a été évacué à l'hôpital.

Elle a ajouté qu'il se trouvait dans un état critique.

À cette étape de l'enquête, il n'est pas clair si le suspect a été atteint par des tirs des policiers ou s'il s'est infligé des blessures. Une femme, a également été hospitalisée.

Lorsque la police a été appelée à intervenir, vers 17 h 30, dans un immeuble commercial de la ville située à proximité de Los Angeles, des coups de feu étaient tirés. Selon les premières informations divulguées par les médias locaux, les forces de l'ordre sont intervenues aux alentours de 17h30 dans un bloc de bâtiments qui abrite une société de conseil, une compagnie d'assurance, une firme de conseil financier et un magasin de réparation de téléphones, selon un média local. "Ce n'était pas un acte de violence aléatoire", a insisté lors d'une conférence de presse Jennifer Amat, lieutenant de la police d'Orange, au sud de Los Angeles.

La police de la ville californienne d'Orange a fait état d'une fusillade mercredi avec "plusieurs victimes sur les lieux".

"Horrible et déchirant. Nous sommes de tout coeur avec les familles affectées par cette terrible tragédie cette nuit", a tweeté le gouverneur de Californie, Gavin Newsom. Le 22 mars, un tireur avait tué dix personnes dans un supermarché de Boulder, dans le Colorado, moins d'une semaine après qu'un homme eut abattu huit personnes dans des salons de massage asiatiques d'Atlanta, en Géorgie.
