For everyone smart enough not to waste their weekend watching Saturday's impeachment proceedings unfold on TV, "Saturday Night Live" provided a summary of the events that led to former President Donald Trump being acquitted for a second time.
While lawmakers acquitted Trump of inciting the January 6 Capitol attack, they voted 57-43 to convict him - short of the two-thirds majority needed to find him guilty.
Impeachments of U.S. presidents are rare.
"No president has ever gone through anything like it, and it continues because our opponents can not forget the nearly 75 million people, the highest number ever for a sitting president, who voted for us just a few short months ago".
Earlier on Sunday, Mr Biden described democracy - in contrast to Mr Johnson - as "fragile" in the face of "violence and extremism". "And that each of us has a duty and responsibility as Americans, and especially as leaders, to defend the truth and to defeat the lies".
In his reaction, Mr Trump called the trial "yet another phase of the greatest witch hunt in the history of our nation".
In his first telephone call to the prime minister last month, Mr Biden said he wanted to "strengthen the special relationship" between the USA and UK.
After the end of his term on January 20, Trump flew to his resort in Palm Beach Florida, where he has been staying since then.
Mr Trump welcomed the outcome and said: "Our historic, patriotic and handsome movement to Make America Great Again has only just begun".
There is also some talk that the former president might part ways with the Republican Party to form his own party.
Outside the Senate, Pelosi joined Schumer in slamming the Republicans.
Mr Trump had been charged with "incitement of insurrection" over last month's violence when the US Capitol was stormed by his supporters, just as Congress was attempting to ratify the 2020 election result.
The moves are the latest in a series of censures and disciplinary actions doled out to lawmakers deemed to be critical of the former president in the wake of the Capitol riot, it added. "The former president tried to overturn the results of a legitimate election-and provoked an assault on our own government-and well over half of the Senate Republican conference chose to condone it!" he said on the Senate floor.
The businessman-turned-politician, 74, continues to hold a grip on his party and has considered running for president again in 2024. His base, by all indications, is still largely intact.
"I don't know how Kamala Harris doesn't get impeached if the Republicans take over the House, because she actually bailed out rioters, and one of the rioters went back to the streets and broke somebody's head open", Graham said. One of the most memorable portions of the prosecution case by the impeachment managers were the new videos of Trump's supporters, wearing Make America Great Again hats and waving Trump flags, ransacking the Capitol.
Those images will forever be associated with the Trump brand.
