New York City will terminate all its contracts with the Trump Organization which include the Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point in the Bronx as well as a carousel and two ice rinks in Central Park, Mayor Bill De Blasio announced on Morning Joe.
"Our legal team has done the assessment".
An email seeking comment was sent Wednesday to the Trump Organization.
It is the latest example of how the January 6 breach by violent Trump supporters is impacting the Republican president's business interests.
The PGA tour voted on Sunday to remove the 2022 PGA Championship from Mr Trump's New Jersey golf course, the AP reported. He said Wednesday that city lawyers determined that if Trump sues over the move, the city will win.
On Tuesday, the Associated Press said it had spoken to Eric Trump, who is the company's de facto leader while his father is in office.
The split with Trump's namesake company won't happen immediately, though.
"The city of NY will no longer have anything to do with the Trump organisation", he said. Termination of the contract to run the carousel, which is now closed because of the coronavirus pandemic, will take effect 25 days after written notice.
New York City residents play $185 to play 18 holes on weekend days, whereas non-NYC residents pay more than $200. He said the agreements for the carousel and skating rinks will be ended in less than a month, but that the golf course could take longer.
