L’iPad Pro mini-LED serait présenté en mars

S'il est bien modelé à l'image du Air 3, cet iPad 2021 serait bien plus fin et léger que l'actuelle tablette tout en conservant la même taille d'écran, 10,2 pouces, là où l'Air 3 mesurait 10,5 pouces.

Tout comme il l'a fait en recyclant le boîtier de l'iPhone 8 pour le dernier iPhone SE, Apple pourrait couler son prochain iPad à bas coût (de 9 génération) dans le même moule que celui de son iPad Air de troisième génération, lancé en 2019.


Selon le site technologique japonais Macotakara, paraphrasant un fournisseur chinois, "le prochain iPad (9e génération) sera probablement basé sur l'iPad Air (3e génération) ". La marque à la pomme a, au travers des années, développé plusieurs modèles de sa tablette, allant du très haut de gamme (iPad Pro) à l'iPad originel, en passant par l'iPad Air, la version légère de la gamme, qui est depuis devenu plus lourd que les derniers iPad Pro, mais le nom est resté. Mais, il semblerait qu'Apple remplisse à nouveau ce marché avec son nouvel iPad d'entrée de gamme. Mais du côté de Cupertino, il semble en être tout autrement. Tout comme la génération précédente, il embarquera toujours un bouton Home avec Touch ID, un port Lightning et un écran entièrement laminé, un revêtement antireflet, la prise en charge de l'espace colorimétrique P3 et la technologie True Tone. Dans ce rapport, il est affirmé qu'Apple est en train de préparer un iPad de 9e génération, en réutilisant, quasiment à l'identique, les caractéristiques esthétiques de l'iPad Air 3.

Concernant les dates de sorties, le rapport est resté très flou à ce sujet, et peu d'informations ont circulé sur le Net. "Enfin, l'iPad Pro 12,9" serait plus épais de 0,5 mm pour accommoder l'intégration de l'écran mini-LED dont l'iPad Pro 11" serait privé.
