US President Joe Biden Involved in an Accident

The Biden family has two dogs, Major and Champ, both German Shepherds.

O'Connor says Biden will likely be wearing a walking boot for several weeks as his foot heals.

According to Jonathan Tamari, a National Politicial Reporter with the Philadelphia Inquirer, Biden slipped while playing with his dog, Major, and twisted his ankle on Saturday, Nov. 28.

"Although initial X-rays showed no obvious fracture, a "follow-up CT scan confirmed hairline (small) fractures of President-elect Biden's lateral and intermediate cuneiform bones, which are in the midfoot", reads a statement from Biden's office". "He will likely require a walking boot for several weeks".


Having defeated President Donald Trump in the November 3rd election, Biden is set to become the oldest president in USA history.

Donald Trump is one of the few American presidents not to have had a pet while at the White House. Trump has not conceded the election, instead opting to mount legal challenges and assert claims of widespread voter fraud without evidence.

While Biden enters the White House with two dogs, Trump was the first USA president in over a century to not have a dog. They adopted Major in 2018, and acquired their first dog, Champ, after the 2008 election. His campaign has been fairly transparent with his medical history, releasing a summary that showed him healthy and fit for the presidency.

But he took to Twitter on Sunday to wish Biden a speedy recovery.
