Coronavirus - Top 14 : Montpellier-Castres à nouveau reporté

Déjà reporté une première fois à cause de cas de coronavirus dans l'effectif castrais, le match de la 3eme journée du Top 14 entre Montpellier et Castres va une nouvelle fois changer de date pour cause de cas au sein du club héraultais.

"Son adversaire (le Castres Olympique, ndlr) était en position d'aligner une équipe pour Montpellier, mais pas pour Brive". Le CAB est un petit club avec un effectif restreint, rappelle les dirigeants du club et qu'il lui semble primordial de protéger la santé de ses joueurs. Eux aussi s'estiment lésés par le calendrier.


Sur le site du club, ce mercredi 18 novembre, le manager de Castres, Mauricio Reggiardo, est revenu sur cet imbroglio: " Suite au report du match face à Brive, initialement prévu le 10 octobre, il nous a été demandé de déplacer ce match au mercredi 2 décembre entre une réception capitale face à Clermont et un déplacement à Pau.

Le club regrette cette décision et a tenté d'avancer une de ces trois oppositions à ce week-end. Mauricio Reggiardo souligne également que pour s'organiser, le staff des Castrais a mis en vacances 7 de ses joueurs. De même, dès que nous avons appris que le match contre Montpellier allait être reporté, nous avons mis tout l'effectif en congés. "Et le technicien argentin du CO, Mauricio Reggiardo, a bien conscience que son club " a payé un lourd tribut " ces dernières semaines". "Nous ne nous sommes pas plaints et avons tout fait pour favoriser la tenue du championnat". "Le CA Brive a l'impression de 'deux poids deux mesures'", poursuit le communiqué du club. Voilà qui promet d'intenses retrouvailles le mercredi 2 décembre à 20h45 au stade Pierre-Fabre.
