Hundreds of kiwis are expected to arrive in Sydney on three flights on Friday, with the first Air New Zealand flight scheduled to arrive at 12.20pm.
Australia's travel bubble with New Zealand will pop today, with the first flights from across the ditch set to touch down on our shores.
"Victoria has not agreed to a travel bubble arrangement with New Zealand and did not expect to receive worldwide travellers as a result of NSW making that arrangement".

It remains unclear whether the 17 travelers were allowed to stay in Melbourne or whether they were sent back to Sydney - where they would now have to be isolated in hotel quarantine for 14 days after entering Victoria.
Melbourne is now not accepting global travellers.
The Australian Border Force declined to comment and said it was a matter for Victorian authorities.

"The quarantine-free flights will be for travellers originating from New Zealand who are flying from Auckland to Sydney and are not required to quarantine on arrival in Australia".
"We have already welcomed our first Kiwis back to Australia for a holiday".
Eight Qantas repatriation flights will arrive from London, New Delhi and Johannesburg over coming weeks.
