This is the fifth COVID-19 death in Whitley County this week with four deaths having been reported Monday. Those new cases include: four from Jamestown, one from Lakewood, Dunkirk and Sinclairville.
Whitley County has had a total of 687 COVID-19 cases.
Public Health nurses continue to release active cases from isolation once they recover from symptoms. Montour County has 24 patients, 4 are on a ventilator.

Also, according to IDPH data, 68 of Kendall County's COVID-19 cases had been reported as of October 9 at three long-term care facilities in the county: 56 at Symphony at the Tillers of Oswego, eight at the Hillside Rehab and Care in Yorkville and four at Association of Individual Development facilities in the county.
Bell County now has 46 active cases.
