Oneida County has about 230,000 residents. "This includes practicing social distancing at all times, wearing cloth face coverings in public places, practicing good hand hygiene, and isolating immediately if you show symptoms of COVID-19".
It means the death toll remains at 1,784 while the total number of confirmed cases is now 31,192. The number of hospitalized patients is down from about 1,000 new daily admissions just a few weeks ago.
Additionally, there were 88 people released from isolation on Monday, raising that total to 26,065.
Officials reported of 793 confirmed cases now hospitalized, 35% of which are in intensive care.
The COVID-19 test positivity rate within Douglas County is 9.1%.
Ten Douglas County residents have died thus far from COVID-19 or with the virus as a contributing factor in their deaths.
Of the cases notified today, 98 are men and 110 are women.
Health officials Monday also said they have designated 14,470 people as having recovered from the disease, though the number is nearly certainly higher because of gaps in reporting.
Altogether, the state has confirmed 26,842 cases of COVID-19 since March. 11 through Sep. 13.
The new cases raise the total number of active cases in the county to 491. Hospitalization is an important metric for charting the course of the pandemic, because it captures how many people are seriously ill with the virus, health officials wrote in a statement.
Bernalillo County, home to Albuquerque, led New Mexico with 22 new cases Monday, followed by 15 cases in Luna County in the southern part of the state.
