The story was told to the press by Christopher Mason, a friend of Maxwell's for decades and a journalist from the United Kingdom who was based in Manhattan at the time.
These events occurred sometime around the year 2000, approximately twenty years ago. Hilton at the time was just about to become a celebrity and was still relatively unknown.
"[On the flight back to the U.S.] Jeffrey didn't want to know the grim details of how it all happened on my intimate night with the Prince, he just asked simply if I thought that I did well in keeping his friend happy".

Mason said: "A friend of mine was at a party and Ghislaine said: 'Oh my god, who is that?' and was looking at this pretty, younger teenage girl".
'You'd see her everywhere, often with handsome blonde girls in tow'.

Mason said: "The rumours were Ghislaine was scouring NY finding younger girls to go on dates with Jeffrey. Could you introduce us?'"
The 58-year-old is cooling her stiletto heels in a Brooklyn jail while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
Prince Andrew has denied any involvement whatsoever with Maxwell. She claims she was first forced to have sex with Andrew at Maxwell's London townhouse when she was 17.
