Neeson plays a master thief who decides to turn himself in for a reduced sentence because he has fallen in love with a woman (played by Private Practice star Kate Walsh). That was their first mistake, and it could be a fatal one.
On Thursday, Open Road Films released the first trailer for "Honest Thief", an action-thriller starring Neeson ("Taken") that takes place in Boston and was filmed in MA.
It's times like these, when people are really looking forward to, hopefully, getting back out into the world, that movies like Honest Thief tend to have the most impact. This is a familiar looking caper, for sure, as Liam Neeson and revenge go hand in hand. But the sheer excitement that comes across in this trailer is, undeniably, a warm blanked of action intrigue that recalls some of Neeson's greatest career hits. A pair of Federal Bureau of Investigation agents (Jai Courtney, Anthony Ramos) have a different idea, though. But after he falls in love with the bubbly Annie (Kate Walsh), Tom decides to make a fresh start by coming clean about his criminal past, only to be double-crossed by two ruthless Federal Bureau of Investigation agents. It's produced by Williams, Myles Nestel, Tai Duncan, Craig Chapman, and Jonah Loop.
From the co-creator of Emmy-nominated series Ozark, thriller Honest Thief showcases Liam Neeson in a heartfelt tale of redemption, packed with fights, chases and explosions centered on one man's mission to make things right for the sake of love.
While film release dates are still very much in flux due to the coronavirus pandemic, "Honest Thief" is expected to receive a nationwide release on October 9.
