The sandwich is priced at $4.95 to $5.25 depending on the retailer's location and is available at 15,000 USA locations. The rivalry continues. Impossible Food's biggest competitor, Beyond Meat, has partnerships with Starbucks in two different markets, China and Canada, and their stock increased incredibly when menu items featuring the brand's products were introduced in those countries. The Impossible Breakfast Sandwich is its first plant-based food item in the U.S.

"These new menu additions not only answer customers request for more plant based choices from Starbucks they build upon Starbucks sustainability commitment announced in January, to offer an environmentally friendly menu", reads a press release.
The Seattle-based coffee giant on Tuesday said its new summer menu will feature the Impossible Breakfast Sandwich, making it officially the largest restaurant company to take such a step.

Beyond and Impossible have been fiercely battling within the fast-food space to gain new exposure. "We are thrilled to expand our plant-based menu into food with this new breakfast sandwich", added Kobori.
At the start of this year, Impossible Foods unveiled Impossible Pork and Impossible Sausage meat substitutes at the CES 2020 show in Las Vegas.
Nonprofit group Good Food Institute has predicted that pork and beef sausage alternatives will make up the next wave of faux meat demand because they're versatile products that work "in a variety of segments, dayparts and food categories".
That's even easier now, especially for Starbucks fans, as these sandwiches are available now at most Starbucks locations in the U.S.
