In early March, Schultz and his boyfriend, 29-year-old DJ Josh Hebblethwaite attended the Winter Party Festival in Miami Beach, a circuit party that Hebblethwaite was working at.
Mike Schultz, 43, was only released from a MA hospital last week after spending 57 days battling coronavirus-induced pneumonia.
He wrote: "I wanted to show everyone how badly being sedated for 6 weeks on a ventilator or intubated can be".
After being admitted on March 16, he was treated for pneumonia and had acute respiratory distress syndrome and put on ventilator. "I was so weak".
Before falling ill, he weighed around 86kg and worked out nearly every day, according to BuzzFeed News.
Schultz told BuzzFeedNews that he worked out regularly and had no underlying health conditions before he got sick.
Schultz was in hospital for two months after he was diagnosed with COVID-19. I couldn't hold my cell phone; it was so heavy.
He also had no idea just how long he'd been in hospital for, having lost track of time.
After contracting the virus in mid-March, Schultz said it reduced his lung capacity considerably and left him so weak he was unable to hold his cellphone in one hand.

Two days after arriving back in Boston, both Schultz and his boyfriend started feeling sick.
Schultz spent weeks in the hospital and he still has a ways to go on his recovery journey. So far, according to a Fox News report, 41 people who attended that festival have tested COVID positive, with three fatalities linked to the same event till now.
Schultz told BuzzFeed News that at the end of his six-week battle with COVID-19, he weighed 140 pounds.
Schultz, who was released from hospital last week, is still slowly building up his lung capacity and will have to undergo physical therapy.
