The Hobbs & Shaw actor went live on Instagram Tuesday with his wife Sabrina Dhowre Elba - who has also tested positive for COVID-19 - to debunk rumors, calling it "such stupidness". Drake and Kris Jenner, among others, also got tested but were not diagnosed with the virus. Does that make me preferential?
"I want people to understand that this is very real".
Idris says he and his wife are quarantining and not showing additional symptoms after he first got tested when he started experiencing a headache and body aches.
Earlier this week, the US Food and Drug Administration approved a new way of potentially combating the virus by taking the blood plasma taken from a person who's recovered from the disease and injecting it into a sick person. "And also this idea that someone like myself is gonna be paid to say 'I've got coronavirus, ' that's absolute bull****", he asserted. "I don't understand the logic of that".
The 47-year-old actor told his followers that they need to understand that "this is not a movie".
The actor previously said that he experienced a headache and body aches on the day he was tested but has since bounced back from that. "I don't see what people get out of that", he said.
Idris explained to fans: "It's hard to say when I got the disease or when I contracted COVID-19, it's hard to say when".
"Let's say if I have the coronavirus right now".
Idris days ago in a video revealed that he is now under quarantine because he had tested positive to the coronavirus.
"Actually, I found out this morning, Oprah, that I tested positive", Sabrina told the host on Facetime on Saturday. Sab [Sabrina Dhowre Elba, his wife] and I still feel ok so far with no changes.
