"I was a little hesitant whether to make a run at this time because many people are suffering". Furthermore, she added, "But I think the thing we need the most at the moment is music, and we need joy and we need to be trying to see the light".
The full album, titled Future Nostalgia, was leaked online this week but the "New Rules" singer made a decision to officially release it to lift the spirits of those stuck at home because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
