Netflix has just dropped a teaser trailer for season 4 of the smash hit series, and the extremely brief and dialogue-free spot contains a major reveal that should have loyal viewers absolutely flipping their wigs.
Stranger Things has received 30 Emmy nominations last year (with six wins) from its first two seasons and was honored with the 2017 SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, as well as the 2017 Norman Felton Producer of the Year Award in Episodic Television - Drama from the Producers Guild of America.
At the end of season 3, Jim Hopper appeared to have died in a huge blast after Joyce turned the keys in a bid to destroy the machine prying open the upside down. Now, we know for sure: Hopper lies!
The 50 second clip shows a sweeping aerial view of a snowy Russian field in Kamchatka, with soldiers patrolling the area while prisoners work on railroads nearby.
That's right, Hopper is alive!
"We're excited to officially confirm that production on 'Stranger Things 4" is now underway - and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper", "Stranger Things" creators and showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer said.
Stranger Things 4 is now being filmed.
In a statement released with the teaser, the Duffer Brothers confirmed that Hopper is back and kicking. Obviously, there is a big, fat spoiler for the upcoming season of Stranger Things ahead - although we must point out that if the series' creatives meant to keep this plot point a secret, they probably wouldn't have dropped it into a trailer that the entire internet will soon be trumpeting about.
