Netflix has just dropped a teaser trailer for season 4 of the smash hit series, and the extremely brief and dialogue-free spot contains a major reveal that should have loyal viewers absolutely flipping their wigs.
If you, like me, figured that there were multiple possibilities that could see Hopper show up in Stranger Things Season 4, you're in luck!
For as cold as this snowy Russian prison labor situation looks though, at least we know one thing is (relatively) warm: Jim Hopper.
And we're not talking just any 'ole teaser trailer - but a jaw-dropping, gasp-inducing Stranger Things 4 trailer that, while not totally shocking, was still pretty shocking. Why? Laborers lay railroad track while being closely watched by Russian military personnel armed with giant guns.
The camera lingers on one, who is revealed to be none other than Hopper.
And better yet, Hopper isn't trapped in the Upside Down-right now, anyway. But they also teased that he may still be alive with a surprising post-credits scene. A very gaunt Hopper is finally seen among them, but he's missing his signature hair and beard. In Season 3, released last summer, Hopper was presumed dead after he sacrificed himself in order to defeat the show's deadliest monster yet. His death, along with all the other bad stuff that happened-including Billy's death and the death of basically half of Hawkins' population-caused Joyce to pack up her kids and move away from Hawkins for the foreseeable future. The teaser is called From Russia With Love, which works great for Valentine's Day.
This one...this one hurts.
"Season 4 is shaping up to be the biggest and most frightening season yet, and we can not wait for everyone to see more", the Duffer brothers added. Give us Hopper or give us death!
