Officials are attempting to trace the contacts of the latest person to be diagnosed with coronavirus in the UK.
"I'm happy to be home and feeling well", he said in a statement, according to Yahoo.
Before being discharged, Walsh was given two tests for the virus, with both coming back negative, indicating he had fully recovered from the illness.
Walsh was being held in an isolation unit at St Thomas' hospital in London.
Another man who was also at the resort tested positive for the virus after returning to the Spanish island of Mallorca.
In the statement, Walsh also said that he contacted his doctor and health authorities as soon as he knew he had been exposed to a confirmed case of coronavirus.
In a statement provided by Servomex, Walsh said he was told to attend hospital in the United Kingdom upon learning he had encountered someone with coronavirus.
The ninth diagnosis in the United Kingdom came hours after Dr Paul Cosford, from Public Health England, told the BBC more cases of coronavirus in the United Kingdom are "highly likely".
He said there are a number of "countries of concern" and that people returning from travelling overseas could bring in further cases.
Two of them are known to be Global Positioning System who worked at a nursing home, Worthing Hospital and two medical centres in the Brighton area.
On his way back to the United Kingdom from Singapore, he stopped off at a ski region in France, where five other Britons were subsequently infected with coronavirus, now also known as Covid-19.
"So we don't have enough evidence at this stage to say that it is spreading in London - we have had an introduction of the virus to London from an individual that has travelled from China but as yet, no reported human-to-human transmission as a result of this new case".
"I've spoken to his wife Cathy directly and to Steve by email and they are absolutely terrified of being made scapegoats for all this which would be totally unfair, ' said the neighbour."
He said it was "highly unlikely" the United Kingdom could stop transmission of coronavirus and it was likely to "get going" in the United Kingdom in the next few weeks, peaking a few months later. Some patients will infect many while some infect none at all and we have no exact method for identifying who is most likely to become a super-spreader.
The development came as at least nine schools in Brighton, Hove and Eastbourne in East Sussex informed families that some of their pupils or staff had been told to self-isolate.
