During this event, we learned that a special Global Promotional Event is going to be held sometime in February 2020 in NY.
"Universal Studios Japan marketing director Ayumu Yamamoto said, "...[in Super Nintendo World] we will energize you and make you feel alive".
Originally announced by Universal Studios back in 2014, Super Nintendo World will house attractions such as a Mario Kart ride and an omnimover-style ride called Yoshi's Adventures.
As it says at the end of the video, "Play in real world this summer".
But with the park due to open before the Tokyo Olympics, and the Olympics scheduled for July, it'd be nice to start seeing some more concrete info!
The video also features the rumored Power Up wristbands, which along with a smartphone app, will allow visitors to battle bosses and collect coins while exploring a physical setting - a feature that many believe will "redefine theme parks".
Little is known about the attraction, which is expected to amount to a mini theme park developed with "Super Mario" creator Shigeru Miyamoto.
In essence, Super Mario World figures to be a "life-size, living video game". It reminds me of the Super Mario Run trailer when it comes to mainstream appeal. Meanwhile, Charli and Toad sing from the highest point of Peach's castle.
