The "Aquaman" star and environmental activist took to Instagram late on December 4 to apologize for earlier in the day publicly criticizing the "Guardians of the Galaxy" actor for posing with a single-use plastic water bottle on social media. "I hope u make a reusable water bottle for Amazon so we all can purchase".
Pratt, who plays Star-Lord in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie franchise, posted a seemingly innocent selfie on Instagram that showed off his newfound gains and promotional partnership with Amazon. Momoa is a big advocate of recyclables and has his own brand of still, alkaline spring water, packaged in aluminum cans.
Posting a picture of himself and his children alongside Pratt, Momoa noted that he was "sorry this was received so badly".
In an Amazon ad posted on Instagram, Pratt posed next to a treadmill in gym attire while holding a plastic water bottle - something Momoa initially did not take kindly to. I'm just very passionate about this single-use plastic epidemic.
"You're probably wondering why I'm standing here, low key flexing, gazing into the distance", Mr. Pratt wrote Tuesday.
"Bro I love u but wtf on the water bottle", Momoa wrote in a comment on Pratt's post. "I didn't mean for that to happen", Momoa wrote. You're completely right. Dammit. Pratt also asserted he normally uses a reusable water jug. "I'm one of them". "I even had it that day!" Love you too buddy. "No single-use plastic. Come on". My bad. I don't want your home of Atlantis covered in plastic. 100 percent. Infinitely recyclable'.
