When it opens, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will make guests feel like they're on a Star Destroyer inside a hangar bay while "Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run" will give guests the opportunity to fly the Millennium Falcon, piloting the ship, shooting blasters or preparing for hyperspace - all while completing a critical mission.
The date was revealed on a poster and on the Risky Reels screen on December 7, one week before the showing. Don't go squinting to see if you can spot Poe Dameron at the controls, however - these are unpiloted drones based mostly likely on the Cargo Air Vehicle design Boeing has recently shown off, which sports six rotors (you can see them in close-ups of the X-Wing included in the gallery at the end of this post). The poster can now be found all over the map promoting the Star Wars live Fortnite event next week. Players that purchased the game on the Epic Games store received the Imperial Stormtrooper skin for free.
As the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker gets closer, speculation about the film is reaching an all-time high.
The skin was also available in the Fortnite Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks.
A couple of weeks ago, players noticed that the Risky Reels screen was displaying coloured bars, a llama, and a timer.
Risky Reels is the in-game location which features a drive-in cinema, and has been used for previous collaborations like the Wreck-It Ralph movie.
The event will take place on Saturday, December 14th with the show expected to start at 2pm ET.
We'll have to wait and see what else comes from this event, but we'll keep you updated with any further news as we draw closer to the Fortnite Star Wars event.
