Adam Sandler remembers getting fired from 'SNL' with Chris Farley

Even the big ones let themselves go.
Adam Sandler and Chris Farley were among the most popular performers on "Saturday Night Live" during their stint on the show, with both going on to big-screen success after they left. Before being the star of the blockbusters, he had to overcome a major obstacle, the fact that he was sacked as a member of the SNL cast.
Adam was not shy about sharing his side of events over the years, and he even amused it in his SNL monologue when he hosted the show in May. The comedian sat down with Howard Stern on his show The Howard Stern Show and opened up about what it was like being fired from such an iconic show so early in his career.
"It could have been that way 15 years ago if I had come and done well", Adam shared about his desire to show off when he was host earlier this year. "I was probably sad into covering the sadness up into being mad and saying, 'Oh f**k you.' But, I remember when I saw Farley, he said, 'Me too". I realize what Saturday night live He did it for me.
"On the time, I used to be damage as a result of I did not know what else I used to be going to do", the "Grown Ups" star stated. The NBC boss, I know he did not like our gang. "However I bear in mind once I noticed Farley and he stated: 'Me, too, they do not need me both.' We had been each like 'f-k this s-t.' We acquired mad collectively, pretended we weren't unhappy, pretended this was for the flawless". "They don't want me either.' We were both like, 'F-k this s-t.' We both got mad together and pretended we weren't sad and pretended this was for the best". He's since gone onto star in some of the biggest films in the world.
Turns out for Adam, it was for the best. He forgave, but that doesn't mean he forgot.
"This is how I got fired", Sandler recounted. "That's how I was sacked: my manager SandyHe talked to me and I said, "Next year in the series blah blah blah", and he said, "Maybe you will not go back next year".
Sandler remembers telling his manager that he'd think about not returning, to which his manager replied: "I think you've thought about it".
His decision or not, it definitely worked in his favor.
