Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been asking his Manchester United team to get more "second goals", and when it came against Partizan Belgrade on the way to a 3-0 victory, it was nearly - almost - worth the wait.
Manchester United returned to winning ways as they beat Partizan Belgrade by three goals to nil in the UEFA Europa League.
Now Solskjaer hopes his team can do it on a more regular basis even though he accepts it will not always be this easy.
"They're creating chances with a really good bit of play".
"You expect to win at home against teams like this". Inside the first 10 minutes alone, Rashford slashed a shot wide of the post from Aaron Wan-Bissaka's cross from the right and saw a point-blank effort saved by Partizan goalkeeper Vladimir Stojkovic. By the time Greenwood coolly stepped beyond Urosevic to put United ahead in the 21st minute, it should already have been 2-0.
'It was pleasing for me. The Englishman stated that they should have scored more goals, given the chances.
Partizan Belgrade proved tricky opposition in Serbia a fortnight ago, but United made light work of them on Thursday evening to reach the last 32 with two Group L games to spare. Juan Mata is recalled in the Man Utd attack with Andreas Pereira dropping out while Anthony Martial keeps his place in the front three.
"I am very pleased with all those finishes". For him to go on the outside, on his left, it is not great for defenders to see.
"And Marcus, I am very pleased he scores with his left foot because he'll need more goals with his left foot because he comes in from that position quite often, so he can go inside and outside of the full-back".
"We want to get through as quick as we can, and that long trip to Kazakhstan is not one you want to travel to having to win", the United boss added.
'It might be a possible to rest a few and be ready for a tough week after that game.
