Donald Trump Jr. revealed Tuesday that his father has warned him on more than one occasion to cool down the incendiary rhetoric on his Twitter feed, with President Donald Trump reportedly cautioning that his son's social media presence was "getting a little hot".
"This is the book that the leftist elites don't want you to read!" screams a blurb on Amazon, adding that "no topic is spared from political correctness".
Trump Jr. dedicates the 300-page part memoir to "deplorables", a clear dig at Clinton who used the term to describe Trump supporters during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Donald Trump Jr.'s new book is portrayed as a takedown of a culture of victimization that he says has permeated the political left, but throughout it he portrays himself as the victim.
Trump Jr, who manages the family's business interests with his brother Eric in NY, also says he was "vaccinated" against socialism during visits to see his grandparents in the former Czechoslovakia.
Trump Jr. acknowledged, however, that while he values his father's counsel, the efforts to chill his posts online weren't especially convincing given the president's propensity for regularly firing off explosive tweets.
Writing about a visit to Arlington National Cemetery the day before his father's inauguration, Trump said: "I rarely get emotional, if ever".
"I began to realize that with my personality, drinking alcohol was a recipe for disaster", he writes.
Trump Jr, 41, writes that he is addicted to Twitter and Facebook but accuses social networks of trying to censor him and other conservatives.
"This "shadow banning" amounts to a full suppression of freedom of speech. It can't be allowed to continue", he writes.

The president has published several books, most famously "Trump: The Art work of the Deal" in 1987 which grew to become a Restful York Times bestseller.
