US President Donald Trump will face off with Democrat Joe Biden in Iowa as the pair hold competing rallies in the key swing state. "I think he's the weakest mentally and I like running against people that are weak mentally". This president rolls back anything that will clean the air.
"We have great internal polling", Trump said during an Oval Office meeting with visiting Polish President Polish President Andrzej Duda.
Biden went on to declare, "President Trump has committed gross abuses of power like using the IRS to silence political opponents, making laws through executive action, and unleashing federal agencies to spy on opposition candidates, or maybe that was Obama but anyway it was one of those presidents and it's got to stop".
Showing on CNN, Axelrod cautioned that Biden's mild campaign schedule, when compared to those of other competitors in the Democratic field, left him open to such criticisms.
"No, you don't, Donald Trump", Biden cried, drawing cheers from a crowd of around 500 at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds.
Earlier in the day, Trump addressed the issue on Twitter.
"I hope his presence here will be a clarifying event because Iowa farmers have been crushed by his tariffs toward China", Biden said.
The Democratic frontrunner took some shots at President Trump while campaigning in Iowa, calling him an "existential threat" to the country.
"I fought very hard for ethanol, but you proved me right", Trump said, adding that he fought "for the American farmer like no president has fought before". Biden later said he didn't mean Trump was literally an existential threat, he just liked the way it sounded when he used big words like literally and existential until he found out what literally and existential literally mean then it just sounded virtually stupid. Biden now says he opposes the ban and will be among the participants later this month at a forum sponsored by Planned Parenthood Action Fund. "It's a totally legitimate thing".
