"We don't back down in New York City, do we?"
"We'll make a final decision this week and we'll announce this week", he told reporters at an unrelated, circus-like press conference held inside Trump Tower in Midtown. "Cut your emissions or we'll cut something you really care about: We'll take your money".
A spy told Page Six the couple were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary at The River Café in Brooklyn on Tuesday night when an eagle-eyed patron approached de Blasio and asked him if he was going to "announce" anything soon.
De Blasio responded, again attacking the Trump organization and accusing the president of tax evasion.
"(3/4) @NYCMayor if you ever think there is an initiative that would be great for NY, I would be happy to come to city hall and visit you anytime. The New York Daily News also reported that the Mayor is officially in for 2020. "But forcing a pop-up press conference in our lobby is simply childish", he added. Bet he's thinking even harder about whether or not he should run in 2020.
Replying to Eric Trump, de Blasio wrote: "Spare me". "First you have never created a job in your life".
After using a coarse word to describe conditions in the city, Trump Jr. claimed "crime is up, the men & women of the NYPD detest you, homelessness is rampant, our streets are dirty, and people are leaving our city in record numbers". "Fix your polluting buildings". A Quinnipiac poll showed that over 75% of New Yorkers think their mayor shouldn't run, and many of de Blasio's own former aides and friends apparently tried to convince him that a presidential campaign was a bad idea.
