Wendy Williams may be thriving now that she's in the process of divorcing her allegedly unfaithful husband Kevin Hunter - but a few months ago, fans were anxious about her well-being.
Political commentator Van Jones recently appeared on the Wendy Williams Show where he was grilled about his dissolved marriage with his wife Jana Carter. After making sure that Wendy was safe, the officers left the property.
Police arrived at her home to do a health and wellness check, and when police mentioned the poisoning claim, she broke down in tears, but said she was OK.
A detective and officer were dispatched to Wendy's home in New Jersey on January 18, where Kevin answered the door and was "hesitant to let [the authorities] in to speak with Mrs. Williams" because her husband said she was "sick and recovering from a health problem", the report continued.
"An officer eventually asked her if there was any truth to the anonymous tip she was being poisoned, and Wendy responded with something like ..." The officer wanted to talk with Kevin in the hallway, but the former executive producer of The Wendy Williams Show essentially said he didn't want to leave his wife's side, the report claimed. The police report states that Williams was found in bed "with the blanket covering from head to toe".
According to police, Hunter then told Williams that she didn't have to explain her health issue to the cops, and told police there had never been a domestic violence call to their home before. "'Well, I'm very popular.' When the cop repeated the question, the report says she became tearful, but denied there was any truth to it", TMZ wrote. Wendy had also told her talk show audience that she fractured her right shoulder in December 2018. Not only was she recovering from her injury and complications from her Graves disease, Wendy was grappling with non-stop rumors being reported about Kevin's alleged mistress, Sharina Hudson, who reportedly gave birth to their love child two months later.
