Donald Trump Jr.is defending Chelsea Clinton after the former first daughter was accosted by far-left activists at a New York University vigil showing respect for victims of the Christchurch massacre in New Zealand.
'This right here's the result of a massacre stoked by people like you and the words you put out into the world. "I want you to know that and I want you to feel that deep inside-49 people died because of the rhetoric that you put out there".
Forty-nine people were killed in Christchurch on Friday in attacks targeting faithful Muslims during prayers at two different mosques in the city.
The attack on Clinton seemingly stems from her condemnation of anti-Semitism following comments by representatives within the Democrat Party, namely Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). I do believe that words matter. As people in unwavering solidarity with Palestinians in their struggle for freedom and human rights, we were profoundly disappointed when Chelsea Clinton used her platform to fan those flames.
"We should expect all elected officials, regardless of party, and all public figures to not traffic in anti-Semitism", Clinton tweeted on February 10. The son of President Donald Trump, 72, didn't hesitate to speak his mind in his tweet and even suggested praise for Chelsea. "Anyone who doesn't understand that is part of the problem", he tweeted.
"I am so sorry that you feel that way", Clinton told the students.
Clinton responded once more, "I'm so sorry you feel that way", before another student yells "What does "I'm sorry you feel that way" mean?" They argued that the "rhetoric" of Hillary's daughter "stoked" Islamophobia. Conservative pundit Candace Owens said blaming others for such a tragedy was "nonsense". "Please stop the nonsense". Former governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee, 63, also took to Twitter to support Chelsea. "Period", Huckabee said, mentioning the 2017 congressional baseball shooting suspect who was a Sanders supporter. "Period. No one "MADE" him do it", his tweet read.
