The actor, who is a friend of the British royal and her husband Prince Harry and attended their royal wedding with his wife Amal last May (18), gave the warning after United Kingdom tabloid the Mail on Sunday published a letter Meghan reportedly wrote to her estranged father, Thomas Markle.
"She'd really just be so proud", she said at the time.
There is historical resonance and poignancy in the plight of a princess, married into the British royal family, who enjoys public adulation yet suffers private pain. "I can't tell you how frustrating that is, just seeing them broadcast a letter from a daughter to a father; she's getting a raw deal there, and I think it's irresponsible and I'm surprised by that". Something I will never understand. If you love me ... allow us to live our lives in peace.
"Quite frankly I had faith in her on and off to do the right thing by her dad but I'm sick of the bulls-t".
She later added: "He did try to contact her she was the one who ignored him and all of us".
Reportedly written after her wedding, the letter accuses Thomas of "breaking her heart into a million pieces" before pleading with him to stop lying and speaking to tabloid newspapers without first trying to speak to her.
Harry and Meghan unveiled six dedications to the QCC during their tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga, and also welcomed commitment to the initiative by its latest member, Kiribati.
According to the report, the situation is something that Queen Elizabeth has been aware of from the beginning, and while her thoughts on the current drama are unknown, she made both Meghan and Prince Harry aware of her feelings prior to the holidays.
Kensington Palace declined to comment.
