Coach Eddie Jones promised England would be even better after upsetting the reigning champion in Dublin on the opening weekend, and his side was merciless in its biggest win against France in 108 years.
'We're playing the greatest Welsh side ever, ' he said after his side thrashed France.
"He's been at the top of the tree in European rugby for the last 15 years, through his club and country and the (British and Irish) Lions", the Australian added.
France coach Jacques Brunel admitted it had been no contest and that England had beaten them up from the start. Winger Jonny May had a hat trick in the first half-hour and Henry Slade crossed for the other five-pointer, with Damian Penaud's sole response leaving England ahead 30-8 at the break.
Jones, who highlighted the astute tactical kicking of England captain Owen Farrell and full-back Elliot Daly, added: "Your kicks are only as good as your chases".
"You know you're playing against a Warren Gatland side".
"It is a hard game when you get points in front because you can get seduced by the scoreboard and you start doing things you wouldn't normally, but we kept our discipline and stuck to the game plan", added the 59-year-old Australian. We're looking forward to going down there.
'We've just learnt a lot over the last 12 months or so'.
"Jonny May's like when you go to the park and you see someone with a tennis ball and they throw it, the dog runs 100 miles per hour and chases it and brings it back. He does that pretty well".
But Principality Stadium holds no fear for Jones. "There's always space, because you've only got 15 players", Jones added.
Prop Mako Vunipola was replaced and required the application of ice to his left ankle, but Jones was uncertain of the severity of the injury. "That's what we are hearing, we'll take it at face value", said Jones after his side put six tries past France on Sunday in Le Crunch. The teams meet again in Yokohama in October.
"I'm very disappointed of course, especially in our first half" said Brunel following France's 10th loss in 13 Tests.
"We took a lot of pressure in the kick-chase - 30-8 in the first half.it's very hard to come back".
