The fight has been added to the undercard of unified middleweight world champion Canelo Alvarez's rise in weight to challenge Rocky Fielding for his secondary super middleweight world title on December 15 (DAZN) at Madison Square Garden in NY.
Katie Taylor will fight world super featherweight champion Eva Wahlstrom of Finland in NY on Saturday week.
Unbeaten Wahlstrom, 38, is the WBC super-featherweight champion but will move up in weight for the contest.
Hearn explained his excitement in booking Taylor for a showdown in MSG (via ESPN), though he described the fight as the toughest of her career.
Taylor won the WBA title by beating Anahi Sanchez in October 2017 and landed the IBF belt with another dominant points victory over Victoria Bustos in April 2018. "I think this fight will really showcase the best that women's boxing has to offer".
Taylor, who won all her amateur contests against Wahlstrom, will be fighting for the first time at the iconic Madison Square Garden. "To get the opportunity to defend my world titles there is really very exciting". I think every fighter dreams about stepping in the ring there and I'm no different.
"This is an incredible opportunity for Katie to fight at MSG".
Wahlstrom, who sports a 22-0-1 record as a pro, has some history with Taylor as the two boxers previously fought against each other as amateurs more than a decade ago. Now in a 10-round pro fight, it will be a totally different game with all new avenues to avenge those defeats.
"There will be great Irish support in NY and she adds even more superstar status to this brilliant night of boxing on DAZN".
The card will not only feature Alvarez vs. Fielding for the WBA "regular" super middleweight world title, but also the return of middleweight contender David Lemieux, former world champion Sadam Ali and rising contender Ryan Garcia. Rocky Fielding on December 15.
