Where is the Woolsey Fire spreading to?
A separate fire, the "Woolsey Fire", in Ventura County sparked evacuation orders for parts of the city of Thousand Oaks, where a Marine Corps veteran shot dead 12 people in a country music bar on Wednesday night. The nearby Hill Fire ignited around the same time and has since grown to 6,100 acres.
Mandatory evacuations were already in effect north of the 101 Freeway from Valley Vista to Reyes Adobe (areas of Agoura Hills, Calabasas and Westlake Village). The fire now covers an area of about 35,000 acres (14,150 hectares).
A California fire official says six major fires are burning around the state, and characterized three of them as "critical". "All residents must evacuate now".
Other celebrities in southern California who have reported on social media that they were evacuated from their homes due to the fast-moving fires include Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian West, her sister Kourtney Kardashian and Mark Hammill.

Rapper Kanye West tweeted to thank everyone for their prayers, saying that his family was "safe and close".
Singer Cher, who has had a house in Malibu since 1972, also wrote: "I'm anxious about my house, but there is nothing I can do. Strange" director Scott Derrickson and the historic Paramount Ranch where HBO's "Westworld" and many other shows have been filmed.
Some may have lost their lives trying to flee the Camp Fire.
A separate massive blaze raging in Northern California since Thursday morning has almost quadrupled in size overnight, according to one Californian fire official. The Tubbs Fire, which destroyed 5,636 structures in Napa and Sonoma counties in October 2017, is listed by Cal Fire as the most destructive in state history.
Flames have moved so quickly there's not a lot firefighters can do.
