The former Tottenham Hotspur, Portsmouth and Queens Park Rangers manager entertained campmates by recalling an unexpected meeting with Princess Beatrice during a public appearance with his son, Jamie Redknapp.
'Howling that Harry Redknapp on I'm a Celeb has the same physio as Prince Harry and didn't even realise it was him, ' said another.
He later asked someone who the man was and was told it was Harry.
'Is that what happened with Birmingham city previous year Harry?'
The horse in question was Irish thoroughbred Estimate, who won the Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot at the age of three in 2009, and Harry admits the penny soon started to drop.
Describing the 2016 incident - involving Sandra, his wife of more than 50 years - in further detail, he elaborated: "She got out the vehicle and I thought she'd crossed the road, and I pulled forward and she fell into the road". I've gone up to the girl on reception and said 'excuse me, is that who I think it is?' I went "not a clue!'"
One person wrote: 'As if Harry Redknapp said "alright mate" to Prince Harry.
"I turned up, I go in there, I sit down and pick up the Evening Standard and there's two fellas doing stretching". 'It makes you feel good. "But I had a nightmare and ran over my wife one day".
He happily took a wash in the jungle shower before regaling his Croc Creek campmates with a tale from home.
Redknapp also drew laughs when he told the campers that his wife called him Mr Pastry, apparently after an accident-prone 50s TV character.
I'm a Celebrity. Get Me Out of Here! is back with a bang and, despite the absence of popular host Ant, it's as popular as ever.
