Haley was one of the foreign policy and Washington establishment's favorite Trump administration leaders.
In her resignation letter, Haley thanked Trump for honoring those conditions. Maybe a different capacity.

Trump praised Haley, saying she has done an "incredible job" and is "somebody who gets it".
Trump said Haley is "very special to me" and made it clear the issue had nothing to do with bad feeling or dismissal of any kind. The retort quickly earned her an apology.
Meeting Haley in the Oval Office, Trump said that Haley had done a "fantastic job" and would leave at the end of the year. Marco Rubio when she left the race.
The complaint noted she accepted flights from three separate businessmen from her home state of SC on luxury aircraft between the state and Washington, D.C. She was accompanied by her husband on the flights.
The daughter of Indian immigrants, Haley alluded to Trump in denouncing "the siren call of the angriest voices" who disrespected America's immigrants.
