Joe, 46, is now serving 41 months behind bars in a Pennsylvania prison for fraud. Last Wednesday, the Department of Justice confirmed to ET that an immigration judge ordered that Giudice be removed from the US and deported to Italy when he finishes serving his prison sentence on fraud charges.
"My dad, who is the best dad in the world, needs to come home".
'I know there were a lot of people who believed that they were being made examples of because they were people in the public eye, and now it seems so extreme to deport him. You know, Joe said, "My parents are citizens, my brother and sister are citizens, they were born here I just never thought to file for citizenship". We are gonna do everything we can to fight this daddy! "I love you with all my heart buddy #heartbroken", she wrote.
Teresa wasn't the only family member to speak out about Joe's deportation. "My father did his time and learned from his mistakes".
"We have so many plans to do as a family when he gets out", she wrote. "I need my father to be here", Gia elaborated.
Yet instead, she is fighting to keep her father in the United States. My father belongs with us and his entire family. Teresa was released after almost a year in December 2015. The couple have four daughters together.
However, the source says their relationship will be in jeopardy if Joe can not remain in the States. A source told TMZ Teresa has, "Zero interest in uprooting their 4 daughters to a country where they have no friends and have never lived".
According to US law, immigrants can be deported from the USA if they are convicted of "a crime of moral turpitude" or an "aggravated felony".
