According to TMZ, Selena has been admitted into a mental health facility for treatment. Gomez didn't attend the American Music Awards last night and the site notes that her team has been virtually silent recently.

TMZ reports that Gomez had health issues last week resulting from her kidney transplant and suffered an "emotional breakdown" because of it. Her emotional state during this period is described as being "despondent and emotional" with the suggestion that she tried to discharge herself from the medical facility.

Sel is reportedly receiving dialectical behavior therapy (DTB) in an East Coast psychiatric facility, according to the latest reports from TMZ. The second hospitalization caused her to become very depressed. This procedure - which Gomez has undergone in the past - is created to treat mental health issues such as borderline personality disorder, suicidal behaviour and depression.

Selena has been keeping a low profile since announcing that she will be taking a social media break.

We hope she feels better soon. "As much as Hailey and Justin are public about their relationship, they are trying not to make a spectacle of it, and that is why they kept their marriage under wraps and got engaged without telling anyone".

Before leaving social media, Selena did an Instagram Live answering questions from fans and said depression had consumed her life for 5 years.

Selena was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA twice in the last two weeks to monitor her blood cell count, the website reports. She wrote: "Just remember- negative comments can hurt anybody's feelings".
