"Floyd is going to fight on December 31 and I'm going to fight January 12".
The fight against Broner, which Pacquiao indicated is "90 percent" done, and he expects it to be held in Las Vegas on either January 12 or January 19.
The fighting senator revealed this on Wednesday during a special recognition by the International Sports Promotion Society as their first Filipino global ambassador.
Pacquiao himself announced the Broner showdown late Wednesday night during the formal turnover rights of a $100,000 donation made by Japan-based charitable organization ISPS Handa to the Emmanuel and Jinkee Heart Foundation at the Makati Shangri-La.
Asked if he could repeat the same performance against Broner, Pacquiao said: "I will try my best". About two weeks ago, Pacquiao signed with Premier Boxing Champions founder Al Haymon to become his adviser.
"Pacquiao needs to convince American fight fans that he still has what it takes to make the Mayweather rematch competitive", said the analyst. "Basta laban lang tayo".
Mayweather and Pacquiao unintentionally crossed paths in Japan where, in a video taken by worldwide matchmaker Sean Gibbons, the retired American teased he is coming back again for a rematch with the Filipino ring icon.
Pacquiao's World Boxing Association 147-lb crown, which he won last July in Malaysia after beating up Argentinian banger Lucas Matthysse, will be on the line against the 29-year-old Broner, who parades a 33-3-1 record with 24 KOs.
Pacquiao, who is also a senator in the Philippines, lost his World Boxing Organisation welterweight title to unfancied Australian Jeff Horn in Brisbane past year.
The most recent fight for Pacquiao in the U.S. was in Las Vegas in November 2016, when he won by a decision against Jessie Vargas to earn a welterweight world title.
