After multiple expletive-laden monologues in front of the press in which he referred to himself as "motherf--", claimed President Donald Trump "stopped the war" with North Korea, and hammered his fists emphatically on the famed Resolute Desk of the Oval Office, rapper Kanye West wheeled around to the other side of the desk and gave the president a hug.
"Day One, solved one of his biggest problems".
Trump and West previously appeared together shortly after Trump's 2016 election in the lobby of Trump Tower in NY.
This past summer, Kanye West confirmed his bipolar disorder diagnosis on the cover of his 'Ye album.
After several minutes of silence and listening intently, the president said: "I tell you what that was pretty impressive, folks. that was quite something". "And we met, and I just appreciate it very much".
The Chicago-raised rapper and the NY real estate mogul-turned president have a long friendship that goes back before the 2016 election.
He has previously said he would consider a presidential run in the future, and told a crowd in San Jose in 2016 that he didn't vote in the election, but "would have voted for Trump". I've known him for a long time.
He also described West as a "smart cookie". Ms. Kardashian has been working with administration officials on prison reform and helped to convince Mr. Trump earlier this year to pardon Alice Marie Johnson, who served more than two decades in federal prison after being convicted on nonviolent drug charges.
"There was something about when I put this hat on it made me feel like Superman", he said, addressing Mr Trump. He said the bombastic pair discussed "life". The unlikely allies spoke to reporters before a closed-door lunch that had been billed as a forum to discuss policy issues including manufacturing, gangs, prison reform and violence in Chicago, where West grew up.
"I love this guy right here!"
West has received a lot of backlash from fans and his fellow celebrities for his support of the president.
"I like him a lot", Trump said Thursday in an interview on the TV show Fox and Friends.
Added West: "If he don't look good, we don't look good".
"When Kanye came out a couple months ago, something happened", Trump said.
But Yeezy isn't the only member of the West family to get the chance of a meeting with Trump in the White House. We are both dragon energy.
After West's speech ended, Trump was left momentarily and uncharacteristically speechless as advisers, including Kushner and Ivanka Trump, looked on. "You know, he loves what we're doing for African-American jobs, for so many different things".
Trump returned the love at a campaign-style rally in MI in April.
West, a long-time Trump supporter, also decried the allegedly widespread expectation that black people should be Democrats.
