Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver Antonio Brown reportedly skipped practice on Monday, just one day after he was spotted in a heated conversation with offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner during Pittsburgh's 42-37 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
The drama around the Pittsburgh Steelers is seemingly intensifying. Ed Bouchette and Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette first reported the news.
"He was not", Tomlin said when asked if Brown was at the facility on Monday. Pittsburgh is still without running back Le'Veon Bell who continues to holdout after getting placed on the franchise tag for the second consecutive season.
Speaking Tuesday, Tomlin said the starwideout has not asked for a trade, despite missing Monday's meetings, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
After he visits with Brown, "I may or may not provide details".
Antonio Brown #84 of the Pittsburgh Steelers reacts after a 33 yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter during the game against the Green Bay Packers at Heinz Field on November 26, 2017 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
As our John Breech noted on Monday, that was not Brown's only emotional display during the game.
After the game, Brown was nowhere to be found during the 45 minutes the locker room is open to media.
When asked about Brown's tweet, the head coach declined to discuss his player's use of social media.
There's no doubt that Brown is one of the very best receivers in the National Football League, but he has a propensity for creating drama.
