When Meghan Markle's mom Doria Ragland was spotted at Los Angeles International Airport this week, she was crossing the pond to London for the sweetest reason - to support her daughter's first solo charity project in person.
The Palace announced the royal foodie's support on Monday of Together: Our Community Cookbook, which will benefit a community kitchen founded as a necessity after the deadly June 2017 Grenfell Tower fire, which left the apartment building's tenants with nowhere to prepare meals. "(There are) 12 countries represented in this one group of women - (it's) pretty outstanding".
"On a personal level, I feel so proud to live in this city that can have so much diversity", she continued.
Proceeds from the sale of the book, which can be pre-ordered now through Amazon, will go to the Hubb Community Kitchen so that it can stay open seven days each week.
"I used to call you Meghan (and I still do) but dear Duchess of Sussex your first project "Together" [is] a cookbook bringing women of all cultures together", Williams wrote.
One wrote: "Harry is so proud of Meghan", while another said: "Oh my gosh".
Thomas Markle pulled out of the May's spectacular wedding ceremony at the queen's Windsor Castle home after undergoing heart surgery and amid controversy that he had staged photos with a paparazzi photographer.
Looking elegant in a fawn coloured two-piece ensemble with a matching shawl draped across her shoulders, the 62-year-old simply introduced herself to guests, saying: "Hi, I'm Meg's mum", according to Daily Mail.
Ever since she announced her engagement to Prince Harry last November, the duchess has displayed a seemingly effortless grace under pressure - no small feat considering the eyes of the world are upon her.

The Hubb Community Kitchen which is based at the Al Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre is a place for local women to gather and cook for members of the community where an inferno tore through Grenfell Tower, a tragic event which took the lives of 72 of the building's residents.
