We have spoken and I told him he can score 40 goals.
"I thought he [Hazard] was one of the best players in Europe, but now I change my mind that he is the best".
Hazard has now scored five goals in five league matches this season, while also providing two assists, and he became only the fourth player to score more than one hat-trick for Chelsea in the Premier League, alongside Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
The 27-year-old believes Giroud is possibly the best target man in the world.
"He's a low-maintenance footballer, I think, Chelsea have done really well to hang onto him for the past couple of years", he said.
The France striker, buoyed by the recent end of his worldwide goal drought, twice assisted hat-trick hero Eden Hazard, who afterwards described his teammate as the best target man in the world.
Carragher agreed with Deeney and said Eden Hazard's comments clearly show he prefers playing with Giroud over Morata. I think that he can spend less energy than now at 50 or 60 metres to the opposition's goal.
Deeney made the comparison of Giroud and Hazard to the former England and Liverpool pair Emile Heskey and Michael Owen.
"You talk about Heskey and Owen, Owen's always said how good Heskey was for him, and it's the same there".
"I've been in that role sometimes, with Ighalo and myself", Deeney said.
For now, he has the satisfaction of knowing his side will outscore lesser teams, especially with Hazard in top form. He's playing awesome football and I hope he keeps this.
There's a busy spell ahead for Chelsea, which includes their first Europa League games of the campaign and two ties with Liverpool, and so both are likely to see some minutes even if Giroud might have assisted his way to the front of the pecking order.
