Spanish golfer Celia Barquin Arozamena was found dead Monday morning at a golf course in the USA state of Iowa. Officers found the body of Barquin Arozamena "some distance away" and determined she had been assaulted and died.
Richards was charged with first-degree murder Tuesday morning and he is being held without bail.

Golfers at the Coldwater Golf Links in Ames discovered an unattended golf bag on the course early on Monday. Huff said the person, a golfer at the course, was an adult. When police first spoke to him, the man made a comment to the effect of "What did he do to her?" the complaint states.
The man, identified as D.B., said he'd stayed with a man identified as Richards, 22, at the camp site. Witnesses there told investigators he had been disheveled and covered in blood, sand and water. He bathed and left with his clothes in a backpack.
Investigators later recovered shorts with blood stains and a knife that Richards allegedly gave to two other people after the slaying, the complaint said.
Richards was caught by police after he returned to his camp site to retrieve his tent.
The course was expected to be closed Monday and possibly Tuesday, Huff said. She is originally from Puente San Miguel, Spain.
She was the third female golfer in the university's history to compete in the US Women's Open Championship. She was the 2018 Big 12 champion - an American university sporting conference - and Iowa State's female athlete of the year. On her Facebook page, Barquin Arozamena says she joined Iowa State in 2014 after completing high school in Madrid. Our deepest condolences are with her family during this hard time.
