No one can predict what the future holds, but for now it's clear that Sony is basically DTF with Marvel Studios when and if Marvel opts to partner up on Spider-Man comics characters other than Peter Parker. And coming off the heels of the success of Fox's Logan, it seemed like a perfectly reasonable goal. Concerns from high up in Sony may push the Venom rating down to PG-13. Trailers for the film, which recently underwent reshoots in Los Angeles after shooting in Georgia, emphasized the horror movie elements, showing the title character as he's about to bite a person's head off. Marvel and Sony came to a mutual deal for Tom Holland to first appear in Captain America: Civil War, followed by Spider-Man: Homecoming, The Avengers: Infinity War and the upcoming The Avengers 4 and Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Venom, starring Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams and Riz Ahmed hits theaters on October 5. Even though Sony is developing their own corner of a Marvel Universe, there is still hopes that they will cross over with the Marvel Cinematic Universe beyond Spider-Man's inclusion in the Avengers. "Sony is open to having other characters from its Spider-Man films pop up in Marvel movies that are produced under the Disney aegis, and would presumably also like to see an Avenger or two cameo in its own movies".
One of Marvel's most enigmatic, complex and badass characters comes to the big screen, starring Academy Award® nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom.
