Lisa Marie Presley is "proud" of the way she's overcome her battle with addiction, because even her therapist insists it's a "miracle" she is still alive.
Reflecting on her recent battles, said said, "I've come a long way".
The daughter of rock legend Elvis Presley was widely reported to have checked into a Los Angeles rehabilitation facility to tackle a prescription pill problem in August 2016, weeks after splitting from her husband Michael Lockwood, the father of her nine-year-old twin daughters, Harper and Finley.
Lisa Marie Presley recently addressed her past drug addiction struggles, saying that she feels she has "come a long way."
The star's friends were very concerned about her wellbeing previous year after she went on a drug-fueled downward spiral.
She also details her attempts to get clean, stating she went to Mexico three, or four times to rehab.
"I had to go to rehab several times". You really are.' She's like, 'I do not know how you are still alive, " the famous daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley shared. "The past year of our marriage, I was abusing cocaine terribly", Presley said. It's what you do with it after you learn-and then you try to help others with it, ' she said.
The star explains even her counsellor couldn't believe how deeply she had fallen into addiction: "My therapist, she's like, 'You're a miracle..."
"I'm not ideal. My father wasn't flawless". "That they have given her a objective in life and it's helped her heal". "No one's flawless", she said.
"I've never seen, and I don't think anyone who had ever known Lisa Marie, has ever seen her lose her composure".
'I was overwhelmed when I was singing it, ' she said, adding that she broke down in tears while doing the duet.
