David Mundell, the Secretary of State for Scotland, will welcome the U.S. president and his wife Melania to the country on Friday.
It was, Angela McCormick, 49, a college lecturer, admitted, a ruse to publicise bigger rallies and the first of the protests expected at the two Scottish golf resorts Mr Trump bought when he was just another billionaire businessman.
In a joint statement, Mr Leonard and Mr Harvie said: "For Donald Trump to travel to Scotland with public assistance and ease when his travel ban has caused outrage and despair around the world would simply not be acceptable".
'The president's visit is an opportunity to strengthen vital links with one of our most important global allies.
A protest will also be held outside the president's Balmedie golf course on Saturday, and it is expected there could be further demonstrations at his Turnberry resort.
A national demonstration is planned at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh on Saturday, as well as a Carnival of Resistance in the Meadows area of the capital.
"We urge that the Scottish Government rules out any use of Prestwick by the president or his entourage, and so send the most powerful message possible that Donald Trump is not welcome in Scotland". We understand the president's time in Scotland is planned as a personal, private visit between other engagements with no official meetings.
"Scotland has deep and longstanding ties of family, friendship and business with the United States, which will continue to endure".
'We would encourage those attending any protests to do so peacefully and safely'.
